Daniel J. Frydenlund

Daniel has led seed stage investing through IPO as a financial and operating executive for over 25 years having raised debt and equity capital exceeding $1 Billion. Daniel lived in Europe for many years after first working abroad in South America in 1995 building what later became assets of Nextel International.
He has operating experience in the US, Europe, Asia and Latin America and is comfortable working with all levels of management, investors and political advisors in developing countries.
Hired in 1989 as assistant controller with OneComm Corporation “Nasdaq CCAL” a Centennial Ventures start-up, IPO July, 1993, Aqcuired by Nextel in 1994 at a $750 Million valuation. Held positions in Finance, Operations, Treasury and took on direct P&L responsibility for the Pacific Northwest Operating Region as Director of Operations.
Hired by Donald Sturm as SVP and Chief Financial Officer of Hostmark LTD, London England, a Sturm Group Portfolio Company. Europe’s largest data center operator at the time, brought in by The Sturm Group to drive change, restructure and exit. Managed the restructuring and sale to WorldPort Communications based in Dublin, Ireland in less than 13 months.
Hired as Managing Director of the Sturm Group, a $500 Million Private Equity Fund with 17 technology investments. Assumed Board Positions in all portfolio companies, CEO and CFO roles for the larger investments leading the restructuring of many domestic and international technology companies of the fund. Closed multiple mergers and sales returning capital to the fund at unprecedented levels during post bubble years from 2000-2004.
Recruited by The Gores Group, London office, managed the financial restructuring of Real Software based in Antwerp Belgium. Real Software had over 2,000 employees and revenues exceeding $175 million.
Founded The Stage Fund in 2009 to acquire companies in the mist of change due to economic shifts, the massive changes in Equity Capital investing and mismanagement.
Graduated from The University of Rhode Island, BS Accounting and Finance.

Brian Carrigan

Mr. Carrigan has been in the insurance industry for over 20 years. Carrigan has been directly involved in many aspects of the insurance and investments industry including, but not limited to, operations, claims, budgeting, rebranding and management. With a strong handle on leadership, Carrigan has been responsible for teams ranging from 5 people to over 150 people in various capacities, and is a tried and true leader and mentor. His ability to engage employees and pull teams together to accomplish momentous goals.

Brian started at Blue Cod in 2007 and quickly was promoted to Project Manager by 2008. He created the CAT team in 2009 and became the company’s Operations and Compliance manager in 2012. Continuing to work with clients to drive new business, Brian was promoted to Director of Operations in 2015 and then to Chief Operating Officer in 2016. Brian continues to lead the teams at Blue Cod and has been successful in working with internal teams and clients to move Blue Cod to the next phase of growth and prosperity.

Krystin Turner

Blue Cod’s Vice President of Information Technology Outsourcing Operations, is responsible for managing the Blue Cod Technologies ITO team as well as creating and managing the client experience group, which focuses on account management of current clients.

Turner is an accomplished leader regarding the implementation of IT platforms and third party vendor solutions within the insurance industry. With over 20 years of experience in IT insurance, Krystin has worked for both carriers and vendors alike, bringing an exclusively unique perspective to each implementation. She is also PMP certified and brings a decisive, results-oriented approach to managing large-scale projects and ongoing customer accounts.

Matt Piaseczny

Mr. Piaseczny has enjoyed nearly 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. His experience started at a fast paced agency in Massachusetts. In a short time Piaseczny learned the nuts and bolts of the operation, and became a sales agent for auto and home policies. Within 2 years of becoming an assistant manager he took over as manager of his own branch.

Mr. Piaseczny joined the Blue Cod team in 2007 focusing on the call center operations. Within one year he became the team leader, and then manager of the team. In that role he learned the BPO operationally as a whole, and acquired account management of some of the largest BPO only clients and support vendors. From there he helped develop our underwriting team, and then was promoted to Director of Business Process Outsourcing, and then Vice President in 2016.
